Rey Martinez is chief diversity and inclusion officer for the Alzheimer’s Association. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to strengthen the Association’s outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis.
Martinez is responsible for developing cross-functional partnerships with organizations to advance diversity and inclusion, with a focus on relationships that broaden the Association’s reach in previously underserved communities. Within the Association, he collaborates with human resources to attract talent and develop resources that champion staff diversity and a culture of inclusion.
Prior to joining the Association in 2019, Martinez was the chief marketing and communications officer at Presence Health — one of the largest behavioral health service networks in Illinois — where he led the organization’s efforts to engage consumers, employees and community partners. He previously held strategy and marketing positions with CVS Health, Walmart and Kraft Foods. Martinez has served in consumer-focused roles across multiple industries, building his expertise in partnerships and audience engagement.
Martinez earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Miami.
