Sr. Associate Director, Relationship Events

General Summary

The Senior Associate Director of Relationship Events will be responsible for managing event staff, assisting in goal setting, negotiating vendor contracts, managing and motivating high level volunteers for annual high profile gala events.  Activities include securing individual and corporate gifts, managing high level volunteer and staff, and developing leadership succession plans to ensure revenue goals are met.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee national gala program and staff to ensure all relationship event revenue targets are met.  
  • Develop and implement  new training and best practices sharing model for chapter relationship events  including setting timelines, developing revenue targets and performance monitoring systems
  • Work cross-functionally with other Departments and Divisions on identifying and leading volunteer engagement and recruitment activities for high profile fundraising events.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations and/or marketing, or related field
  • 5-7 years of fundraising and event management experience, preferably with events utilizing significant volunteers
  • Superior organization, communications, analytical and logistics skills
