Development Specialist (Utah)

General Summary

The Development Specialist will provide support to all fundraising activities in the Salt Lake City and Utah Service Area to meet revenue goals, and will assist the Program and Development management with overall fundraising.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of all fundraising events to include the following elements: a timeline for key tasks; overall revenue goals and targets and tools to track progress; detailed execution plan for participant/donor recruitment and retention; logistics; media; etc.
  • Prepare and distribute communications to volunteers and donors - via email, print, and telephone - based on the Association's communications timeline and additional needs.
  • Identify, recruit, train and manage high impact volunteers who will assist the organization in increasing concern and awareness as well as growing revenue.
  • Prepare reports and provide information as requested and required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years work-related experience preferred in Fundraising and Special Events management.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially fundraising software and Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, sales and marketing, volunteer management and development experience.
  • Proven track record of working with diverse audiences.
  • Detail oriented, adaptable, organized and able to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks.
