General Summary

The Director of Marketing and Communications primary responsibiity is to develop, implement and manage comprehensive and effective communications, media relations and publications that are aligned with the Strategic Business Plan. 

This position is located in Harrisburg, PA.

Essential Job Functions

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for raising public awareness and visibility of the Alzheimer's Association to increase concern and awareness about the disease and funding opportunities, and position the Alzheimer's Association as the leading resource on Alzheimer's disease throughout the Greater Pensylvania Chapter.

This position reports directly to the President and CEO, is a member of the senior leadership team, supervises the volunteerism initiative, and Board level marketing/communications committee.

Other duties include participation in income development, advocacy, and program/service activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years progressive experience in marketing and communications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Chapter-wide travel, weekend and evenings required.
