Sr Associate Director, Direct Marketing & Intermediate Gifts

General Summary

The Senior Associate Director, Direct Marketing & Intermediate Gifts is responsible for working with Constituent Relations and Relationship Development to support Chapters in developing their intermediate gift pipeline and donors ($1,000 - $9,999 gifts).  This position also is integral to managing communication to this segment and managing the Direct Marketing Telemarketing efforts  and Planned Giving lead generation efforts.  Responsibilities include assisting with strategic development and coordination, the development of benchmarks and performance indicators, development and coordination of key activities with lead staff, and development of toolkits and best practice sharing opportunities. 

Essential Job Functions

- Provide support to chapters to increase their proficiency and results in Intermediate gifts and Planned Giving Lead Generation through development of toolkits, trainings, best practice sharing, and individual and/or cohort coaching.
- Manage communication strategy, segmentation and strategic planning for Alois donors and prospects.  Support leadership of DM/IG Council and Manage Alois webinar efforts. 
- Support and manage additional aspects of Direct Marketing program as needed
- Manage chapter support for uploading Intermediate Gift prospects, local donors and more to assure desired results.   Work with Data and Donor Services as needed. - Assist in development of tools and procedures in support of the Intermediate Gift Program and Planned Giving Lead Generation
- Oversee the DM program Telemarketing program.  Manage audience selection, script development, caller training, vendor management, analysis, data collection initiatives and strategic planning.  
- Manage and supervise outreach staff to make thank you  and stewardship calls to active and potential Intermediate Gift donors and new Monthly donors.  Support additional Mass Market segments as identified.  Summarize performance.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; background in quantitative analysis preferred.
- 5-7 years' experience in development or direct marketing
- Fundraising expertise, especially pipeline development.
- Exceptional Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  Proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
