Many people choose to make a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association through a gift of stock that has appreciated substantially over the years. Please contact us by phone or email if you would like additional information about gifts of securities or mutual funds, and how these contributions can be made effortlessly.

Third-party events
Holding a golf tournament? Conducting a public event and want to donate proceeds? Looking for a way to boost your Walk team's efforts? Consider a third-party event.

Third party events are activities managed by volunteers or community groups where the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter has no financial responsibility and little to no staff involvement. The Chapter partners with numerous companies and organizations each year to raise funds and build awareness for Chapter services.

One of our most successful third-party fundraisers is the Triphammer Wines & Spirits' An Evening to Remember gala.

Donate a car
The Chapter’s car donation program is easy to use. Simply call Insurance Auto Auction at 315-699-2622 to arrange an appointment. Their crew will tow the automobile. When the car sells at auction, the Alzheimer’s Association receives the proceeds and you receive receipt for a tax deduction.

Agency fund

The Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter agency fund was created with the Central New York Community Foundation in 2014 from three endowments and funds previously bequeathed to the Chapter in memory of Lynn Smith, Kirk Sterling, and Ruth Stoner. Each family earmarked these donations to support family and professional caregiver education within our Chapter territory.

And now you can join these families by making a tax-deductible contribution to our agency fund.

Combining these funds and partnering with the Central New York Community Foundation, we are able to leverage its resources to create a far stronger rate of return than any private investment. The result is a permanent fund that ensures the legacy of these families’ commitment to educate the community about Alzheimer’s disease.

Gifts of stock or other assets: To discuss donations that provide life income to you, or language to include the Fund in your will, please contact the Foundation at (315) 422-9538.

Gifts from your donor-advised fund at the Foundation: Contact your designated representative to arrange a dispersal to our fund.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter agency fund is administered by the Central New York Community Foundation. Donations made to the fund are acknowledged and receipted by the Foundation independently from the Chapter.
