Education Programs

Available in-person and online, our education programs feature information on topics including the signs of Alzheimer's disease, diagnosis, communication and caregiving techniques.

All education programs are free; however, registration is strongly encouraged. To register for any program, call 800.272.3900. 

The health and safety of the community and our volunteers and staff remain our priority and we will continue to follow all local and national public health guidelines regarding masks, social distancing and meeting size.

Volunteers and event participants are encouraged to be vaccinated, but it is not required. Wearing masks are optional unless required by the host venue site.

Learn strategies to communicate with your loved one at each stage of the disease.

Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behavior
Learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and get strategies to intervene with some of the most common behavior challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia.

Dementia Conversations
This program provides tips for breaking the ice with your family so you can address some of the most common issues that are difficult to discuss: going to the doctor for a diagnosis or medical treatment, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans for future care.

Managing Money: Caregivers
How much do you know about managing money? This free program will help you learn about the costs of caregiving and the benefits of early planning, and teach you how to avoid financial abuse and fraud, start a conversation about finances, assess financial and legal needs, and find support.
