Women Conquer ALZ

Women are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia – by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Association is excited to announce a program for corporate executives, community leaders and influencers who want to make an impact on the future of Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Prospective participants (honorees) will engage in an awareness campaign where they will help promote Alzheimer’s disease information and resources while raising funds to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Participants who meet fundraising goals are honored at an awards ceremony and will be featured in an editorial piece in a local business publication.

The ideal prospective honoree wants to make substantial contributions to civic, business and cultural endeavors in their community — but wants to do more to give back. The ideal candidate is a well-connected influential community leader who demonstrates community service and willingness to make a difference in their local area. Honorees are nominated by a peer or may nominate themselves.

Honorees will raise a minimum of $3,000 through a special gifts campaign with guidance and support from Alzheimer’s Association staff. Online fundraising tools will be available with a designated branding page for Women Conquer ALZ.

Honorees will also take part in a Women Conquer ALZ video series on the Alzheimer’s Association Florida YouTube channel. Each honoree will describe their connection to the disease, if applicable, and why they’ve taken on this fundraising and awareness campaign. The videos will be branded and shared across social media.

Benefits to Honorees

  • Prestige to be among Alzheimer’s Association’s civic leaders
  • Advertorial with honoree profiles in business magazine, press release announcing each participant with corresponding social media blitz

Honorees will also receive:

  • Special recognition at their local Walk (virtual or in-person per CDC guidelines)
