Join the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by becoming an Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter volunteer. From planning an event to hosting a Support Group to providing office support, there are many ways to get involved with positions that best fit your interest and skill level.

Walk/Special Events:
Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day and Memory Day. Committee member tasks include recruiting team members, raising revenue, increasing awareness and implementing event activities. Support Group Facilitator & Co-facilitator
Help facilitate support groups that provide emotional, educational and social support to those caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Learn more about the facilitator job description. Complete the Volunteer Interest and Application Form.
Community Educator:
Community Educators are volunteers who help the Alzheimer's Association provide consumer education to expand the reach of Association programs in the community. Complete the Volunteer Interest and Application Form.
Advocate:
Help improve the quality of care and quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by carrying our message to elected officials at the federal, state and local levels. Communicate with elected officials via letters, phone calls and other calls-to-action, participate in area events and share your story. More information.

Volunteer advocates play a critical role in helping the Alzheimer's Association advance
better public policy with our state and federal leaders. Every email, tweet, phone call
and meeting make a real difference. We thank all of our advocates for their commitment

Physician Outreach Representative:
Community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs and link medical professionals to these services. These volunteers serve as a liaison between the Alzheimer’s Association and local medical professionals. Tasks include direct phone calls to physician offices, preparing direct mailings, delivering information to physician office locations.
Faith Outreach Representative:
Alzheimer's Association Faith Outreach Representatives are community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs, provide basic disease information, and link consumers to Alzheimer’s Association services.
