Support Part the Cloud This Holiday Season!
PART THE CLOUD
Dear Friends,
As 2016 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your outstanding support of Part the Cloud. It has been a truly momentous year: April's Part the Cloud gala raised a record-breaking $10.8 million; we created the Part the Cloud Challenge on Neuroinflammation and awarded our four finalists with $1 million each to develop their research; we awarded another round of research grants, bringing our total number funded to 17; and we launched the new Part the Cloud website.

We are looking forward to another exciting year ahead as we continue to educate the community about Alzheimer's disease and raise critically-needed funds to support new research at our Part the Cloud Luncheon on February 1, 2017. You can learn more about the luncheon and our special honoree and guest speakers below, and we hope to see many of you there in February.

Thank you all again for your outstanding support and generosity, which allows us to fund this important research and bring us one step closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's disease. Together, we will Part the Cloud!

Sincerely,
Mikey Hoag and The Part the Cloud Committee

Part the Cloud Luncheon

The 2017 Part the Cloud Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in Menlo Park.

The luncheon will focus on exceptional women who are changing the conversation on Alzheimer's disease. To that end, we are thrilled to be honoring Peabody and Emmy-winning journalist and Alzheimer's activist Maria Shriver for her extraordinary commitment to the cause. A portion of the proceeds will support leading scientists in research initiatives to understand the biological differences in Alzheimer's disease between women and men through the Alzheimer's Association Women's Alzheimer's disease Research Initiative. We're also thrilled to have Roberta Brinton, PhD, Director of the UA Center for Innovation in Brain Science at the University of Arizona Health Sciences, give an update on her research of the aging female brain and regenerative therapeutics to prevent, delay and treat the disease and Maria C. Carrillo, PhD, Chief Science Officer at the Alzheimer's Association, give an update on the state of Alzheimer's research. Learn more.
