The Judy Fund is grateful for friends like you.
The Walk that started them all: The Judy Fund team at the Westside Walk in Santa Monica.
Dear Family and Friends,

As we reflect on the year that is rapidly coming to a close, The Judy Fund is honored by the generous support we've received from friends like you during 2018. We're especially excited to report that the second year of The Judy Fund National Walk Team for Walk to End Alzheimer's exceeded our highest expectations! This is due in large part to the incredible efforts of our partners throughout the country: Sigma Alpha Mu, the Kamelhar family and Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman coast to coast, Pacific Union, and the Berry family in Chicago. With nearly $80,000 in donations and counting, the success of our Walk team reaffirms that with friends like you beside us, no goal is impossible, including our goal to end Alzheimer's disease.
The Judy Fund National Walk Team drew 775 participants on 69 teams, in 54 cities across 29 states.
National Walk team shatters 2018 goal
Once again, devoted friends of The Judy Fund, especially the brotherhood of Sigma Alpha Mu, joined together in 54 cities across the country as one national team. With 1,018 donations received, we've shattered our 2018 goal to raise $50,000. Currently, The Judy Fund has raised $79,412, and we're not done yet! You can make a tax-deductible donation through December 31 that will count toward The Judy Fund total. Thank you for helping The Judy Fund make such a significant impact on Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world's largest event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease care, support and research.
Congratulations to our #1 Walk fundraising chapter: Texas Sammy.
Texas Sammy is top Sigma Alpha Mu team again
Congratulations to Sigma Theta, University of Texas at Austin — "Texas Sammy" — the top fundraiser for The Judy Fund National Walk team for two years in a row! According to the chapter, "Sigma Theta has greatly enjoyed participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's over the past few years. The Walk itself has turned into somewhat of a Brotherhood event for Texas Sammy. Our actives love competing to raise money for The Judy Fund as our fraternity's philanthropy and joining together as one in support of The Judy Fund on the day of the Walk. Many of our members' families have been impacted by Alzheimer's, and Sigma Theta as a whole is dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer's." Well-said, Texas Sammy! Sigma Alpha Mu was instrumental to our nationwide efforts during the 2018 Walk season. Their 42 teams raised over $29,000 for our National Team. We are so thankful for their extraordinary dedication to raise awareness of The Judy Fund mission in communities across the country!
