The Judy Fund invites you to walk with us on October 27 in New York City.
The Gelfand family was proud to gather at the Santa Monica Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 23 to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Dear Family and Friends,

Great news! We've exceeded our goal for The Judy Fund National Walk team! With 65 teams registered and more than $51,000 donated, we have a new objective: To exceed the 2017 $56K fundraising total. Will you help us surpass last year's achievement? We ask all friends in the New York City area to sign up for the Manhattan Walk to End Alzheimer's® on Saturday, October 27, and invite local family and friends to do so as well. Thank you in advance for helping us meet the challenge to bring in even more than last year! As Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed; it's the only thing that ever has.”
David Hyde Pierce joined us at last year's NYC Walk to End Alzheimer's!
Please help us support Walk to End Alzheimer's in Manhattan on October 27
The Judy Fund Walk team has achieved 100% of our goal with $51K raised and counting. With one more Walk remaining this season, all eyes will be on Manhattan! Last year, many friends, including longtime Alzheimer's champion David Hyde Pierce, showed their support for The Judy Fund team at the Manhattan Walk to End Alzheimer's. If you're in the New York City area on October 27, please sign up to walk with us from the wonderful South Street Seaport across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge! For more details or personal assistance in signing up, email Jessica Berek or call Jessica at (323) 489-4136.
Alzheimer's Ambassadors and advocates are celebrating another funding increase.
Another increase for Alzheimer's research at the National Institutes of Health
It's official. On September 28, the president signed into law a $425 million increase for Alzheimer's and dementia research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for fiscal year 2019. Advocated for by the Alzheimer's Association and the Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM), the increase raises total annual research spending on Alzheimer's to $2.3 billion. According to Alzheimer's Association President and CEO Harry Johns, “We're starting to see the impact these increases are having on the research field. From encouraging clinical trial results to new data about modifiable risk factors to research into diverse populations and retention of early career investigators in the field. Make no mistake these advancements are a direct result of our efforts to increase federal research funding.” Thank you to all Ambassadors and advocates from The Judy Fund – and all our congressional champions – who helped make this latest success possible!
