Dear Family and Friends,
Walk to End Alzheimer's is happening! The Judy Fund is excited to participate in Walk again and invites you to join with us in our Walk teams across the country, because when we work together, we can change the trajectory of this disease.
Walk is an inspiring event that brings together participants of all ages and abilities to fight Alzheimer's. We all lift one another up as we honor those we love, and all of the money we raise benefits the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Our fundraising goal is $50,000 and we need your help to make it happen!
This year you can Walk with The Judy Fund team at your local event or Walk From Home in your neighborhood. No matter where you participate, know that your health and safety are the top priorities. All local events will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations and more. Per CDC guidelines around crowded outdoor settings, the Association asks that all Walk attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask when in an overcrowded area. Masks will be available on-site.
The Association will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to recommendations and are safe for attendees. Please refer to your local Walk website for the latest information about your event.
If you choose to Walk From Home, you can download and use the Walk mobile app to experience an augmented reality Promise Garden, where you can select a Promise Garden Flower that represents your connection to the disease, personalize it with a heartfelt message and plant it among others. You can also use the app to watch a prerecorded Opening and Promise Garden Ceremony, set a distance goal and track your progress as you walk, and even cross an augmented reality finish line.
Don't miss the opportunity to join The Judy Fund Walk to End Alzheimer's team in your area, or let us help you start one! However you participate, you are making a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer's now and in the future. To join or to make a donation to our National Team, please visit our Walk webpage today.
Let's continue to make history together this fall with The Judy Fund's Walk to End Alzheimer's teams. Join with us in any way you can!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns
