The Judy Fund invites you to walk with us this fall.
Help get us to $10 million!
Dear Family and Friends,

As the seasons change, we know one thing that remains the same: your unwavering support for The Judy Fund. We'd like to gratefully acknowledge all of our generous donors who support The Judy Fund's work to raise and grant funds for Alzheimer's research and advocacy. We could not do this without you!
Rachel Buckley, Ph.D., who is investigating how sex and gender contribute to Alzheimer's and other dementias, joined a special panel discussion held in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association International Conference® 2022 (AAIC®).
Researchers illuminate gender differences in Alzheimer's and dementia
Alzheimer's researchers are working to unravel the mysteries of the disease and shine a light on why women are more likely to have Alzheimer's — the top priority for The Judy Fund. One dedicated researcher on the forefront of Alzheimer's sex and gender research is Rachel Buckley, Ph.D., who is supported by your generosity to The Judy Fund. Dr. Buckley is exploring how biological sex, accumulation of a protein called tau, and menopause affect women's susceptibility to Alzheimer's disease. Results from Dr. Buckley's study have the potential to yield knowledge that promises to benefit all people living with or at risk for Alzheimer's.

To discuss the disproportionate impact the disease has on females, Dr. Buckley participated in a special panel discussion held in conjunction with the 2022 Alzheimer's Association International Conference® (AAIC®) — the largest and most influential international meeting dedicated to advancing dementia science.

Thank you for your support of The Judy Fund and for helping fuel women's ongoing research. You make this extraordinary work possible!

The Judy Fund leads the pack for The Longest Day!
The Judy Fund shone its light on the darkness of Alzheimer's again this year as a Global Team for The Longest Day®, raising more than $101,000 for the cause! We are so grateful for the dedicated and passionate supporters of The Judy Fund who came together to fight Alzheimer's through a fundraising activity of their choice, including The Judy Fund LA Marathon and LA Big 5K Team. This community of runners took to the streets of Los Angeles, setting the pace with their fundraising efforts. Together, this remarkable group raised more than $25,000, putting them among the top performers nationwide and propelling The Judy Fund into the #3 spot for Top 5 Global Teams fundraising for The Longest Day! Thank you for going the extra mile in the fight against Alzheimer's.

We are so grateful for your continued support of The Judy Fund and all the important work you make possible through your generosity. Enjoy the fall season, and I hope to see you soon on a Walk team for The Judy Fund!

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns
