The Chapin family has owned and operated the Tanque Verde Swap Meet in Tucson for over 33 years.

The Tanque Verde Swap Meet began at the corner of Grant and Tanque Verde roads in the late 1970’s. They remained there until 1986 when they moved to 4100 S. Palo Verde Rd where they are currently located. The move proved advantageous for the Chapins, sellers and buyers. The current location has over 30 total acres, 19 of which are dedicated to sellers’ spaces and the rest to parking. This is almost more than twice the area of the old site. Even with this much more space, the vendors' area and parking lot have been known to fill up quickly.

The Tanque Verde Swap Meet is located in Tucson, Arizona which boasts a mild climate year round. This allows us to be open every weekend of the year. Summer days can be hot in Tucson, however summer nights at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet sizzle. There are bargains to be found all over the place. Winter, spring, and fall days and evenings also are packed with hundreds of sellers and thousands of buyers each weekend. Come check us out!!!  The Tanque Verde Swap Meet is designed to promote a free market enterprise opportunity to the diverse population in the community.

Shopping and parking is always free at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet.

In an effort to give back, The Tanque Verde Swap Meet is glad to help the Alzheimer’s Association through donating bottled water for Memory Walk and other fundraising events.  The Tanque Verde Swap Meet has been doing this over five years that equates to over $10,000 of bottled water donations.

“ I had difficulty dealing with the changes my mother demonstrated throughout the course of the disease.” Shared Linda Fiore. “ I support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through research, enhancing care and support for all affected and influencing Congressional Leaders to create policy to change the course of the disease.”
