West Lafayette man hiking for Alzheimer's relief in honor of grandmother

Jordan Conner of West Lafayette will start hiking the Appalachian Trail on June 1 to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his grandmother. Conner will begin his hike on Monday, to kick off Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month. He has a goal of completing the trail by October, close to three years after he first set foot on that trail.

He hopes to raise $15,000 in donations for the Alzheimer’s throughout his four months on the Appalachian Trail. Flat rate or pledge-per-mile donations can be made by visiting pledgeit.org/hikeforalz.
