Volunteer Opportunities

Community Educator (ACE)

Alzheimer’s Community Educator (ACE) is an educator that helps to raise awareness about early detection, diagnosis, and brain health. An ACE volunteer utilizes Alzheimer’s Association core curriculum and attends a specialized training. An ACE volunteer may work in a mobile office on the Memory Mobile or in a group setting.

Alzheimer’s Auxiliary

Assist staff and other volunteers in the office or out in the community. Duties include: answering phones or making phone calls, scheduling or promoting programs, computer work, gathering presentation materials or staffing a table at a community event.

Caregiver Support Group Facilitator

Our Caregiver Support Groups are designed to provide emotional, educational and social support. In a group, caregivers develop coping methods, encourage self-care, learn about community resources, and optimize care techniques. Our groups are regularly scheduled. We offer a specialized facilitator training program and ongoing resources. Most facilitators volunteer once a month for 2-3 hours.

Committee Member

Become a committee member for our signature fundraising events, Walk to End Alzheimer's and The Longest Day. Duties include: attending meetings, brainstorming ideas about fundraising, sponsorship/donation seeking/solicitation, volunteer recruitment, publicity, logistics and implementation.
