Faces of Alzheimer's - Bunky and Charles Clark

We are the faces of Alzheimer's

Charles Edward Clark Sr., a man with an impressive military background, never thought his life would turn out the way it has. He has already been through Alzheimer's disease with his mother, sister and his wife's sister. Because of them, he walked in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in September. Charles thought that he had seen the end of Alzheimer's in his family until a year ago. In August 2014, doctors gave him the news that he was now in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Bunky Clark, Charles' wife, was right there by his side.

With help from the Alzheimer's Association, Bunky and Charles found neurological help and Charles is now in a two year clinical research trial. Bunky also participated in the 2015 Dancing Stars of Columbus to raise funds and awareness of the disease. The pair continue to use the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter's services, like support groups and early stage education classes, to ease this difficult journey.
