Faces of Alzheimer's - David Wiggins

We are the faces of Alzheimer's

David's father changed in 2012; he became quick to anger and displayed uncontrollable rage at times, which was a symptom of his Alzheimer's disease. Although his father was under a doctor's care, his Alzheimer's symptoms continued, and ultimately led to the older man being jailed in 2014 after an argument with his neighbors.

David turned to the Alzheimer's Association for help after exhausting his legal options. Within three days the association got his father released from jail and into a medical facility where he received intense treatment and a medication adjustment for two weeks, then found him permanent housing in a facility that offers secure care for patients with memory loss.

David says, "If you have a loved one you suspect has Alzheimer's do not wait. Go immediately to the Alzheimer's Association. They will help you or your loved one very quickly and it costs you nothing but a few minutes of your time."

Please make your tax-deductible donation to help us provide care, support, advocacy and research for patients and caregivers across Georgia.
