10-11 a.m. Effective Communication Strategies

Learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with
dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each
stage of the disease.


11 a.m.-noon TimeSlips Workshop (creative engagement techniques)

Explore ways to creatively connect with individuals living with memory loss.
TimeSlips harnesses the power of imagination and creativity to facilitate
meaningful interactions. TimeSlips Master Trainer and Project Manager Andrew
Morton will introduce new resources created for friends and family caregivers to
help enrich interactions and create meaningful moments of connection.
