The Alzheimer’s Association offers both online and classroom training for professional care providers. Studies show staff trained in dementia care are able to provide better quality of life for residents and have increase confidence, productivity and job satisfaction. Our training programs utilize the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations which promote the principles of person-centered care.
 

Online Education
CARES® Dementia Care online training offers training in the Basics™, Advanced Care™, Dementia-Related Behavior™, and Activities of Daily Living™.

These training programs offer the additional option of the Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ® certification, an online individual certification program providing recognition for knowledge of quality dementia care practices. To access CARES and essentiALZ programs, click HERE.
 

DVDs and Print Materials
Selected DVDs and books to meet mandated topic requirements are located in Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter’s lending library (9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132) or available through our virtual library.
