Alzheimer’s Association meet-up events are social/cultural activities for individuals with mild memory loss and their family members, friends and/or other supporters.

Meet Up Schedule April - June  

THURSDAY, APRIL 19
5:00 – 7:00 p.m. | Potluck at the Alzheimer’s Association Office
Address: 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132
Cost: Free (Bring a dish to share)
Parking: Free
Description: Meet at the Alzheimer’s Association Office for an evening potluck. Everyone is invited to celebrate spring and enjoy good company! Those with last names starting A-M, please bring a side or dessert; those with last names starting N-Z, please bring a main dish.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25
10:00 – 11:00 a.m. | St. Louis Zoo: Welcome to Stingrays at Caribbean Cove
Address: 1 Government Dr., St. Louis, MO 63110
Cost: Free
Parking: Free on-street parking. Parking in the North Parking Lot is $15.
Description: Join us in welcoming back stingrays and sharks to the Saint Louis Zoo! This interactive experience is sure to thrill you. You will walk to the exhibit, wash your hands, and get ready to interact with some fishy friends. We’ll meet a keeper and learn about the stingrays and sharks and how they’re cared for at the Zoo. Meet in The Living World building at the North Entrance of the Zoo. Please gather in the lower rotunda to meet your guide. There will be a short classroom welcome to begin with before exploring the Zoo. This is a walking tour so please wear comfortable shoes and gear for the weather; we’ll be doing these tours rain or shine.

 TUESDAY, MAY 8
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. | Missouri History Museum: Panoramas of the City (Part 2)
Address: 5700 Lindell, St. Louis, MO 63112
Cost: Tour is free. Optional lunch is at your own expense.
Parking: Free – West parking lot entrance is off of Lindell, to the right of the building. Must give your name to the guard and confirm you are with the Alzheimer’s Association event. Only those with reservations will be able to park in the reserved lot.
Description: Enjoy a guided tour of the Panoramas of the City exhibit. This exhibit uses panoramic photographs of early 20th century St. Louis to allow you to “walk into” history in a way you never have before. (Part 1 of this tour was offered in October 2017. You do NOT have to have attended Part 1 to enjoy Part 2. If you did attend the tour in October, you will be viewing different photographs on this tour.)

Parking: Free (in the Missouri Botanical Garden parking lot)
Description: Meet in Ridgway Visitor Center, upstairs in Monsanto Hall by Tour sign. Enjoy a guided tour of the historic Missouri Botanical Garden created especially for people with memory loss and their family/friends. We will be taking a short walk highlighting the history and beauty of the Garden. Wheelchairs available at no cost and scooters are available for small rental fee. This tour will be repeated on Saturday, June 9.

Description: Meet at the Tram Shelter, located to your right as you enter the garden. Enjoy a tram tour of the historic Missouri Botanical Garden created especially for people with memory loss and their caregivers. This tour will be repeated on Tuesday, June 19. Registration: Attendance is limited. Registration is REQUIRED.
