There are three easy ways to get materials from our Benjamin Green-Field Library collection. Our lending period is four weeks. Librarians, please see For Librarians to learn more about borrowing.

Borrow through your local Alzheimer's Association chapter

Our chapters are located throughout the United States and many offices have resource libraries with their own collections. Email or call your local Alzheimer's Association chapter to see if they have what you need. If they do not, most chapters will borrow books or videos from Green-Field Library and get them to you. Alzheimer's Association chapters, please send requests for materials to greenfield@alz.org.

Available DVDs to check out

The Green-Field Library has many DVDs covering topics like how to care for someone in the middle-to-late-stage of Alzheimer's, activities of daily living, and Alzheimer's disease dos and don'ts. DVDs can be requested by choosing one of the three borrowing options on this page.

Borrow through your library

We participate in a national library program called Interlibrary Loan, a service allowing a patron of one library to borrow materials owned by another library. Call or visit your local library to find out more about the program and how you can borrow from us.

Visit us in Chicago

Visitors who come to our offices may use materials in the library and make photocopies for free. We're located in Chicago, Illinois on the 18th floor of the home office of the Alzheimer's Association. Calling ahead for an appointment is helpful but not necessary. Alzheimer's Association staff and volunteers: please request materials directly from us.

Library hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Central Time) Monday through Friday.
Library location: The Library is located on the 18th Floor.
