An interactive opportunity for singing, making music and relaxing. Bring your family members, get tips on using music within your own home and leave feeling connected with others.
Isabelle de Borchgrave: Fashioning Art from Paper with the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute: 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11. Discuss masterpieces that celebrate more than 500 years of fashion history in an exhibition including nearly 100 intricately detailed artworks that relive elements of history, including the Italian Renaissance in Florence, the magic of Russia’s famed Ballets Russes, and the Ottoman Empire.
Sinterklaas: An old Dutch Tradition in the Hudson Valley: 1-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20. The tradition of Sinterklaas comes from the Netherlands, brought by Dutch settlers who arrived in Rhinebeck more than 300 years ago. Sinterklaas, the patron of children and sailors, finds a welcoming community in the Mid-Hudson Valley as we learn about the re-created story through the lens of modern-day America.
