A Glimpse into the Life of a Younger Caregiver

This year's younger caregiver symposium will showcase the stories of real-life caregivers, the situations and events that arise to raise awareness and highlight the importance of community support and outreach. It will also feature an educational program on Health Living for Your Brain and Body.

5:05-5:30 p.m.
Amy LaFleur

Topic: The Millennial Caregiver Experience through quantitative and qualitative facts and figures. The presentation will outline the demographic groups that make up the millennial caregiver population. Additionally, it will explore the educational/employment, financial and social considerations unique to young caregivers.

 

5:30-6 p.m.
Teresa Santos

Topic: Fears Millennials have about Alzheimer's.

6-6:30 p.m.
Dr. Jessica Zwerling

Topic: Healthy Aging highlighting her research related to caregiver stress

6:30-7 p.m.
ACE (Alzheimer's Community Educator) Volunteer

Topic: Healthy Living for your Brain and Body: This program offers information on diet, nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement. Get hands-on tools to develop a plan for healthy aging.
