Support group for LGBTQ Alzheimer’s or Dementia caregivers

Build a support system with people who understand.


Alzheimer's Association® caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:

  • Develop a support system.
  • Exchange practical information
  • on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
  • Talk through issues and ways of coping.
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns.
  • Learn about community resources.

The Alzheimer's Association offers the following LGBTQ Support Groups Nationwide:

 
  • First Wednesday of the Month - 8 p.m. CDT
  • Second Thursday of the Month - 11 a.m. CDT
  • Every Other Friday - 11 a.m. CDT

AlzConnected members can connect and communicate with people who understand their unique challenges. Members can pose questions to the community, create public and private groups organized around a dedicated topic, and contribute to message boards.
