Join us at one of our upcoming free educational programs (in person, or via Zoom). Association programs are typically 30-90 minutes in length, and also allow some time for questions and answers. Both in community or via Zoom, you will also learn more about the free and valuable services of the Alzheimer's Association. Please see below for program descriptions.

The Empowered Caregiver Series
The Empowered Caregiver education program is a series that teaches caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia. Caregivers can register for individual courses to meet their needs or complete the entire series. Each virtual program will begin at 10am CT.
Topics include:
- Building Foundations of Caregiving (Hosted on 1/8/2025)
- Supporting Independence (Hosted on 2/5/2025)
- Communicating Effectively (Hosted on 3/5/2025)
- Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors (Hosted on 4/9/2025)
- Exploring Care and Support Services (Hosted on 5/7/2025)
Attendees will receive a link to join each individual program at the time of the event. The link will direct attendees to the AARP Illinois Facebook and/or YouTube page for viewing.
