We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers. Together, we're making an impact - and you can, too. Volunteers make a difference in the lives of more than 220,000 Illinoisians living with Alzheimer's disease. By helping educate the community, lending an ear, fundraising, advocating for public policy and more, you can help support the family members who provide constant care for their loved ones.
With so many ways to be a volunteer, there is something for everyone.
Programs and Services
The Alzheimer’s Association provides care and support for those living with the disease and their caregivers. We also offer education programs to help both those affected and the general public better understand Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Events and Fundraising
Our fundraising events keep our support services free of charge and fund critical research to find the cure for Alzheimer’s and dementia. They include the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight the disease, and The Longest Day, where participants host a fundraising activity of their choice on or around the summer solstice.
Advocacy
Alzheimer's disease is one of the most critical public health issues in America. This is why we are unrelentingly advocating for public policies that increase critical research funding and support all those affected. Our volunteers help persuade policymakers at both the state and federal level to make Alzheimer's a top priority.
