How long have you been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and in what way(s) do you volunteer?

I have worked with the Association as Kentucky’s Alpha Delta Kappa Chairman for The Longest Day fundraising from 2014-2020, continuing at least until 2022.

What impact do you feel your work with the Alzheimer’s Association has on the community?

Throughout the state, I feel that our fundraising efforts have been successful because I have the love and support of all of our members.  We are a very close-knit honorary professional women educators organization.

What else are you involved in within your community (if anything)?

I am very involved in our church, Benton First United Methodist Church, with our Sunday School class and am on two teams at our church to provide food for others. Until Covid-19, I visited many friends frequently at the Stilley House, an assisted living retirement community in Benton, Kentucky.

Why would you encourage others to support the Association?

I encourage others to support the Association with the hope and assurance that funds raised will eventually make a difference and the needed research will provide a cure for this debilitating disease.

Is there anything else you would like us to include or know about you?

I hope I will always be remembered as someone who likes to help others.
