Tina lives in Owensboro, Kentucky and works as a Community Representative for Timesavers Caregiving, Concierge and Chauffeur.

How long have you been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and in what way(s) do you volunteer?

I’ve been involved with the Alzheimer's Association for three years as a Walk team captain and as a committee member.

Why do you support the Association?

When I first became involved with the Walk, I was amazed by the passion and support of our community. Any time the Walk or the Association is mentioned, someone has a personal experience to share. Families and their teams go all out to work together towards the cure.

What impact do you feel your work with the Alzheimer’s Association has on the community?

I see firsthand how families struggle with the diagnosis and care options for persons living with Alzheimer's and often refer clients to the Alzheimer's Association helpline and educational resources.

What else are you involved in within your community (if anything)?

I am also involved in fundraising for Hospice and Owensboro Catholic Schools, two other non-profits very dear to my heart.

Why would you encourage others to support the Association?

Participating in the Walk has been a great experience for our family of three teenage girls and extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and even dogs who have joined our Timesavers team.

Is there anything else you would like us to include or know about you?

Regardless of the changes in format in 2020, I have full confidence that our community will continue to support this most important cause.
