The Alzheimer’s Association Brain Health and Cognition in Latin America meeting, held in partnership with the World Dementia Council (WDC), will bring together the research teams behind the U.S. POINTER and LatAm-FINGERS studies to discuss their results, future directions and the real-world application of multidomain interventions for brain health and dementia risk reduction.
Day 1, Sept. 16, will feature scientific presentations, implementation case studies from across Latin America and the United States, and discussions with government, health care and global health leaders focused on scaling evidence-based approaches to healthy cognitive aging throughout the region. Day 2, Sept. 17, will be led by the WDC and will focus on translating this science.
The two-day program will convene leading researchers, clinicians, policymakers and global health leaders from across the Americas.
