In honor of November being National Family Caregiver Month, the Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter has planned a series of informative and practical education programs for our valued caregivers. All programs are presented live and at no cost.

The Journey of Dementia: What are the Family Members Experiencing?

In order to provide support, education, and resources, it is crucial to understand what the personal caregivers and family are experiencing. Learn the stages of grief and how it becomes a barrier for those caring for a loved one with dementia. Learn the types of support and valuable resources available in order to educate the family member. Please start spreading the word. Presented by Tammy Pozerycki, BC-DEd, MA, CADDCT, CFRDT, CDP, COTP.

Alzheimer’s Treatment Options: Pharmacological & Non-Pharmacological Approaches

Amber Evans, MA, R-DMT, LCMHC, CDP, BC-DEd, is the Director of Memory Care and Resident Engagement Services for LCB Senior Living. She oversees all aspects of the company’s renowned Reflections Memory Care program, including developing programming, ensuring quality, training associates at all communities, and working with individual residents and their families.  She also oversees the Resident Engagement program on the Assisted and Independent Living side of all LCB communities, supporting the enrichment of LCB residents’ social, emotional, physical and cognitive lives.

Dementia Conversations with Caregiver Panel Discussion

This program offers helpful tips to assist families to have honest and caring conversations with family members about dementia and provides guidance on how to plan ahead and build a care team in order to reduce stress and enhance the quality of life. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of former caregivers who will share their experiences and answer questions.
