The Mozelle Senior or Vulnerable Medical Alert Act (PA 176 of 2012) was passed and signed into law by Governor Rick Snyder in 2012.

This legislation is a step in the right direction to locate missing seniors with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or memory loss; however, there is still work to be done to improve the implementation of this law.

The Alzheimer's Association is working with partner organizations to develop best practices for locating missing seniors.
