The Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter's fiscal year 2013 (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013) was a year of HOPE! Hope is not only a word, but a feeling that drives us to fight Azheimer’s disease. There are many other words and feelings that play a part - anger, frustration, determination, perseverance, laughter, and love. But, hope is the one that we hold on to - because hope says that someday soon, we will find a way to stop this devastating disease.  We meet people every day who inspire us and give us hope. We wanted them to tell our story in this annual report because they are our story.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter’s fiscal year 2012 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012) was a year of further growth in many areas. We celebrated our 30th anniversary as a chapter in 2011, and it is hard to believe how far we have come not only at the local level but also as a much larger nationwide and worldwide movement.
