Our volunteers are passionate, inspired and want to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Below are current volunteer positions available. Please contact Kristen Davis at KriDavis@alz.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities.

Ways to Get Involved

Community Educators

Our Community Educators are trained volunteers who deliver education programs in their community. The Community Educators will present programs, developed by the Alzheimer’s Association, using scripted curricula, PowerPoint presentations and other prepared training materials provided by the Association. All topics are related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as the information that affects individual and family needs.

Support Group Facilitators

An Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group is a structured gathering of caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia who meet to discuss issues related to Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The purpose of a support group is to provide an opportunity for family members and caregivers to meet and develop a mutual support system that will help maintain the health and well-being of its members.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Planning Committee

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions! Whether you will be at a Walk to participate on the day-of or you want to help plan your local Walk experience, there is a volunteer option for you.

Advocate

Help shape laws at the federal, state or local level by talking with legislators and educating them about Alzheimer’s related issues. Association advocates have successfully raised government funds for Alzheimer’s research and improved access to care and support services for people in their communities.
