About the ALZ Stars Program

Upcoming ALZ Stars Events

ALZ Stars Program

Founded in 2010, the Alzheimer’s Association ALZ Stars® program created an opportunity for runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes to test their limits while pursuing progress in Alzheimer’s care, support and research locally and nationwide.  ALZ Stars go the distance in the fight against Alzheimer's disease, increasing awareness and inspiring others to take action.

As an ALZ Star, you will receive an official race jersey, fundraising support and, most importantly, join a community determined to leave its mark in the fight against Alzheimer’s.  Join us in the fight to end Alzheimer's, the best incentive to cross the finish line!

For more information about the ALZ Stars Program, contact Kate Dochelli at or 703.766.9031.

Upcoming ALZ Stars Events

42nd annual Marine Corps Marathon
Sunday, October 22, 2017
Washington, DC

Run the race of a lifetime -- and bring us 26.2 miles closer to a cure. Sign up today for Team Race to End Alzheimer's!

As an official charity runner with the Alzheimer’s Association, you will receive guaranteed entry into this highly coveted race, training support, fundraising support and more! Runners accepted into the program must commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 by October 31, 2017. Your registration fee of $75 will serve as your first donation to your fundraising page and will save your spot on  the team. Your race entry fee will be covered by the Alzheimer's Association. You will still need to sign up for the Marine Corps Marathon, but you'll be able to do so at no charge to you.
