C.A.R.E. Pharmacy Award winner announced
Tracey Pierce is the winner of the 2008 C.A.R.E.™ (Commitment to Alzheimer's. Recognition of Excellence) Pharmacy Award. Now in its eighth year, the award recognizes a pharmacist for the critical role he or she has played in helping someone with Alzheimer's disease and their family members.
Pierce is a clinical pharmacist at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio, and a preceptor and associate clinical professor at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. She donates countless hours each year conducting family education programs and consultations at health fairs.
This year for the first time, the Alzheimer's Association joined Eisai, Inc., to promote the award.
