MIM ImageMemories in the Making is a unique program of creative expression for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. Through their art, participants find a way to speak to loved ones, caregivers, and the public.

During the course of the evening, attendees participate in silent and live auctions featuring select pieces of art, a distinctive assortment of fine wines, and other intriguing auction items. Enjoy delicious food and wine, accompanied by a memorable stage presentation.

What is Memories in the Making?

Memories in the Making is a fine arts program for people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. People with or without an art background participate to produce beautiful, meaningful works.In the process of creating art they boost their self-esteem and open channels of communication with their loved ones.

Twenty Memories in the Making sites are embedded in residential and adult day service programs throughout Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco and Contra Costa Counties. The program is offered by the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada, and is free of charge.
