Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP)
Get Free help from HICAP offices throughout California with Medicare claims, appeals, denials or delays of service or treatment. You can receive unbiased advice about HMOs, Medicare supplements, long term care insurance, and much more.

Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG)

Ombudsman Resource Center

Foreclosure Information

1. Families should call or check the web site of the bank where they have their mortgage. Most sites offer information about avoiding foreclosures and how to do so.
2. Another good resource is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, at; search for “Avoiding Foreclosures”. Or families can also call 1-202-708-1112 for the address of a HUD office nearest to where they live.
