The Alzheimer’s Association Northeastern New York has announced it will postpone its annual Gala, An Evening to End Alzheimer's in Memory of Mary DeCrescente, until Spring 2022. The event was scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd
This was a tough decision as it will be the second year in a row without an in-person celebration, but due to the rapid spread of the delta variant of COVID-19 and uptick in local cases, we feel it is the right one for our community. As in prior years, we were excited to gather in-person for an evening of dining and dancing, but our number one priority continues to be the health and safety of our neighbors and friends. We thank our suppliers, sponsors, and devoted Committee for their support over this time. We look forward to coming together in 2022.
An Evening to End Alzheimer’s is a celebratory event in memory of Mary DeCrescente and honors individuals and organizations who have made outstanding efforts in the fight against Alzheimer's. The event raises funds for free local care and support services, as well as research for more robust treatment options and, ultimately, a cure.
