 WHY JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP?
Support groups are groups of people who get together regularly to talk about issues relating to Alzheimer's disease. Groups combine social, educational and support components and are facilitated by trained individuals.

Support groups are a safe, confidential supportive environment where you can find support, encouragement and wisdom from others with similar experiences. You'll also get education and the latest information about dementia and will develop skills to help you problem solve. Some groups may be topic-specific, such as grief or early stage, while others are more generic in nature.

All support groups are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is recommended.

** As we being to offer in-person support groups, please be aware that due to the rapid spread of the delta variant of COVID-19, the Alzheimer’s Association is following new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations to wear a mask in public indoor settings regardless of vaccination status - this includes our support groups. We ask participants to provide their own masks or hand sanitizer. Please note, our volunteers and staff who facilitate in-person support groups are all fully vaccinated.

The Association continues to offer a wide variety of online and telephone support groups for those who are not fully vaccinated or otherwise uncomfortable attending in-person activities.**
