Millions of Americans are impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and you can do something to help by becoming an Alzheimer’s Association volunteer. Our ability to reach and support those affected depends on people like you who are dedicated to the fight against this disease.

In Northwest Ohio, 32,000 people live with the disease and 96,000 family and friends care for them. Volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter present Alzheimer’s educational programs in the community, they link people to Association services by attending health fairs, and they also lead Alzheimer’s caregiver support groups in the 24 counties that the Chapter serves.

The Association provides the training. The time commitment depends on you, whether you can spare a few hours a week or more.  All efforts are appreciated.

There is a particular need for community educators around the region. Educators are volunteer speakers who deliver pre-planned presentations on topics such as Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Our volunteers are passionate and inspired. Whatever time you have to volunteer, we can find the right fit for your interests and skills.
