Visionary Women Caregivers Luncheon

On Friday, May 15, 2015, over 250 friends, family members and AAOC supporters joined together at our 9th annual Visionary Women luncheon to celebrate Orange County caregivers, nominated by their peers for their extraordinary compassion, caring and strength. Guests enjoyed an artisan gift fair, lunch, and a program that highlighted five caregiver honorees and their dedication to improving the lives of those touched by Alzheimer's disease or related forms of dementia. Celebrity guest Florence Henderson, best known for playing the mother on the '70s sitcom "The Brady Bunch," shared her personal caregiver journey – one that involved caring for her husband of 18 years after his terminal illness diagnosis – and offered advice to others facing similar situations.

Thank you to all who attended, and congratulations again to all of our caregiver honorees.

Daisy Villa, Youth Caregiver Honoree; Jim McAleer, President/CEO
of Alzheimer's Association of Orange County; Elaine Stephen, Family
Caregiver Honoree)
