"Approaching Alzheimer's: Make Your First Response the Right Response"

"Approaching Alzheimer's" is a free training program specifically geared toward first responders, including law enforcement officers, paramedics, firefighters and disaster-relief personnel. The training will help make first responders' jobs easier, keep them safer and give them strategies for working and dealing with community members who have Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

"Approaching Alzheimer's" has been divided into four key sections:

  • Wandering
  • Driving, Shoplifting and Firearms
  • Abuse and Neglect
  • Disaster Response
