Alzheimer's Association Resources for Physicians

The Alzheimer's Association Oregon Chapter offers training and support for healthcare physicians working with people who have dementia, including:

  • Purple packets containing support materials for recently diagnosed patients and their families
  • Fax referrals to connect patients with Alzheimer's Association resources
  • Medical student seminars
  • Supportive brochures and literature to educate patients and their families

American Academy of Family Physicians

The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has a free, downloadable CME bulletin about Alzheimer's disease. This bulletin provides information about diagnosing Alzheimer's disease, counseling those affected and assessing current treatment plans.
