Memories in the Making Art Auction

Thanks for the memories!

With your generous support, we raised more than $100,000 at our 2016 Memories in the Making Art Auction and Gala!

325 guests joined us at The Sentinel Hotel on Friday, May 13, for a fabulous evening of fun. Auction items included trips to Puerto Vallarta, Baja Mexico, Disneyland and the Oregon Coast; gift baskets from local vendors; and inspirational art from local artists and participants in the program. Other event highlights included a dessert dash, a well-stocked wine wall and the exciting “heads and tails” game. The crucial funds raised at the event support the Memories in the Making program and allow us to offer additional training and more site locations to serve even more people.

We are deeply grateful for this outpouring of support. Thank you and hope to see you next year!

About Memories in the Making®

Memories in the Making resulted from the exploration of the use of art as an alternative form of expression for people with dementia. While Alzheimer’s disease brings constant reminders of failures and losses, Memories in the Making provides a nonjudgmental environment in which participants can express their feelings. The focus is on the process rather than the product, allowing people with dementia to experience moments of joy and a renewed sense of accomplishment and self-respect.

Thank you to our 2016 Sponsors!
