The Alzheimer’s Association Memories in the Making® program offers creative art expression for individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early stages of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The program is delivered at our Lake Oswego office, at 5285 Meadows Rd #451, Lake Oswego, OR 97035.

Memories in the Making® participants create imaginative and colorful watercolor paintings. Most have no prior art experience. The painting process provides an opportunity to engage socially and reminisce about meaningful life moments, individuals or personal interests. Participants share stories about their art if they wish in an emotionally safe and supportive environment.

Registration

Memories in the Making® is free, but space is limited and screening and registration are required. Call 800.272.3900 for more information or to register. Registration is open year-round, so please call to check availability.

Upcoming Dates

Memories in the Making® is currently on Fridays from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. starting February 9 and ending on April 5. On March 8 we will be hosting the Memories in the Making Paint the Night Purple Gala at the Portland Hilton, no class will be held that day.

The program is normally delivered at our Lake Oswego office, at 5285 Meadows Rd #451, Lake Oswego, OR 97035.
