Ways to Get Involved
Special Event Volunteers
Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers such as Walk to End Alzheimer's, The Longest Day, conferences and other events. Committee members tasks include recruiting team members, raising revenue, increasing awareness and implementing event activities.
Advocates
JOIN THE CAUSE!! Join us and speak up for the needs and rights of people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. Advocates are asked to make two actions a year. Actions include: writing a letter or email, making a phone call, signing a petition, or visiting your local legislator. Add your voice to ours—become an advocate today!

Community Educators (virtual opportunities available)
Alzheimer's Association Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who provide Alzheimer's Association education programs to community audiences.
Community Representative
Alzheimer's Association Community Representatives are community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs, provide basic disease information, and link consumers to Alzheimer’s Association services.
Support Group Facilitator
Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia.
Faith Outreach Representative
Alzheimer's Association Faith Outreach Representatives are community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer's Association programs, provide basic disease information, and link consumers to Alzheimer’s Association services.
Support Group Mentor
Support Group Mentors provide mentoring and training support for facilitators of early stage or caregiver groups.
