The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO® Program - dementia care training webinar series for professional care providers.

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program connects multidisciplinary dementia care experts with professional care providers in a free continuing education series of interactive, case-based video conferencing sessions.

Project ECHO aims to improve health outcomes through a team-based approach while reducing geographic barriers and the cost of care. This dementia care training series from the Alzheimer’s Association is one of the first in the country focused on improving access to quality dementia care in the long-term setting.

How it works

Each weekly session includes a short lesson on a particular aspect of dementia care, followed by a case discussion from a participating long-term care setting. Unlike a typical webinar, the program enables content experts to mentor and train professional care providers on the most up-to-date best practices for caring for those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

The ECHO program emphasizes high-quality, person-centered care in community-based settings, with topics including care planning, activities of daily life and understanding dementia-related behaviors.

Build expertise and become a leader in dementia care

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program offers a free six-week telementoring program for professional care providers nationwide. Participants must be long-term care providers for people living with Alzheimer's or other dementia in long-term care settings. We encourage the entire care team to participate.

Program benefits include:

  • Gain knowledge, confidence and access to specialty consultation.
  • Improve health outcomes while reducing geographic barriers and the cost of care through a team-based approach.
  • Certificate of completion and NAB-approved continuing education units (CEUs) for administrators at no cost.
