Legislative Advocate
Play an important role in improving the quality of care and quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by carrying our message to elected officials at the federal, state and local levels. Communicate with elected officials via petitions, phone calls and other calls-to-action, participate in area events, and share your story!
Time Commitment: 1 hour a month
Training: 1-2 hours
Voices 4 ALZ: Speakers’ Bureau Volunteer
Provide presentations about Alzheimer’s, other dementias and memory loss as well as the Alzheimer's Association at senior centers, health fairs, community organizations, clubs, congregations and schools. Accept proclamations at city council meetings, share your story in the media, write letters to the editor on timely dementia related issues,

Training: attend one Voices 4 ALZ storytelling session and follow up before speaking event.
Fundraising Event Support
Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers including Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day. Committee members recruit new team members/walkers, plan and support events leading up to major fundraising event, raise revenue, increase awareness and help on event day.

Administrative
Assist in the many administrative tasks needed to keep our office running smoothly, including special projects, mailings, collating and copying. Greet office visitors, answer phones, light administrative duties

Social Media/Graphic Design
Are you a wiz at social media? Do you have a graphic arts background or writing ability you would like to put to important use? Our Communications Team can use your help. Looking for artists, bloggers and others who would like to create stories and reach out to the media on our behalf.

Gala Committee Members
Looking for committee members to help us with our Brilliance Gala, planned for May 2023. Plan, organize, gather auction items, and help us put on a fun, meaningful and successful event.
